Maria is a very sweet 21-month-old Staffy. A lady had seen her and her sister Tia running along a very busy road. How she got both dogs in her car, on her own, is a mystery for us!! She said they just jumped in! They didn´t just jump in our van when we took them to the vets for sterilizing. It was quite a struggle. Neither dogs had microchips so no owner to contact and neither did anyone come looking for them, which was a surprise to us, as both were in very good condition.
Maria and Tia were very nervous when they arrived at the kennels and each day their confidence grew and they turned into two very lively, bouncy dogs. It took several weeks before they were happy to go out for a short walk. They seemed to enjoy exploring the outside world but were always happy to come back into safety of the kennels. Their walks have increased and they walk well on the lead, their confidence has definitely grown but they would need owners that understands they need time and patience.
Maria is more confident than her sister and she loves cuddles and jumping all over you.
Like all our dogs, Tia is fully vaccinated with passport, microchipped, blood tested, spayed, dewormed and on heartworm preventative medication.
As she is a Staffy she is on the dangerous dog list,(although like most, is far from it) so the owner will require a PPP licence.

Maria es una Staffy muy dulce de 21 meses. Una señora la vio a ella y a su hermana Tia corriendo por una carretera muy transitada. ¡¡¡Cómo consiguió meter a los dos perros en su coche, ella sola, es un misterio para nosotros!!! ¡Ella dijo que simplemente saltaron dentro! No se subieron a nuestra furgoneta cuando las llevamos al veterinario para esterilizarlas. ¡Lucharon mucho para subir! Ninguno de los dos perros tenía microchips por lo que no había ningún dueño con el que poder contactar y tampoco nadie vino a buscarlos, lo que nos sorprendió, ya que ambos estaban en muy buenas condiciones.
Maria y Tia estaban muy nerviosas cuando llegaron a la protectora y cada día su confianza crecía y pronto se convirtieron en dos perros muy animados y saltarines. Pasaron varias semanas antes de que se alegraran de salir a dar un corto paseo. Parecían disfrutar explorando el mundo exterior, pero siempre se ponían contentas de volver a la seguridad de la protectora. Sus paseos han aumentado y pasean bien con la correa, su confianza ha crecido definitivamente, pero necesitarían unos dueños que entiendan que necesitan tiempo y paciencia.
Maria es más segura que su hermana e igualmente le encanta jugar, tener muchos mimos y saltar sobre ti.
Como todos nuestros perros, está totalmente vacunada con Pasaporte, lleva microchip, con analíticas de sangre, está esterilizada, desparasitada y tomando la medicación para la prevención del gusano del corazón.
Como es un American Stamford, está en la lista de perros peligrosos, por lo que el propietario requerirás una licencia PPP.
